Ti checks out Age Of Heroes, a low-budget WWII action movie starring Sean Bean and Danny Dyer.
Age Of Heroesgot a limited theatrical release, with this DVD release following by just a few weeks.
Its not a bad film, but it doesnt exactly scream big screen adventure.
Of course it does.
Despite the predicable plot, there are things to enjoy inAge Of Heroes.
Plus, there is something entertaining about watching Danny Dyer being put through his paces by commandos.
These are especially welcome after scenes where local families are brutalised by SS officers.
But theyre so thinly drawn that, when they do die, you dont really care that much.
However, where the film does deliver is with the action scenes.
As modestly budgeted, non-Hollywood war films go, you could do a lot worse thanAge Of Heroes.
It does everything you expect it to do, no more no less.
Unfortunately, I believe it will be the former.
