It then quickly moves onto introducing its hero saving a young girl from a nasty pimp.
Thats about as good as it gets.
And, unfortunately, its not even that good.
Youre looking for the exit at your earliest opportunity.
You dont come to a Don The Dragon Wilson film for that.

But the plot does its best to shape itself around his impressive kickboxing credentials.
You never know whats going to happen in the job market.
All of which leaves Don doing what he does best: kicking people in the face.
Which would be enjoyable if it werent for the films clumsily staged fight scenes.
And the films shootout in an empty cardboard box factory is something to behold.
Never have so many boxes been wasted so badly.
Fans ofDark Angel(are there any out there?)
The hard truth, however, is thatBlackbelthas very little to recommend it.
Its probably only worth a look for Don The Dragon Wilson completists.
And that doesnt sound like much of a recommendation at all.

This being a Roger Corman release, economy is the name of the game.
There isnt even a menu screen.
Just the film and then blankness.
And the two are pretty interchangeable.
