Marvel has officially announced the actor playing Doctor Doom and nobody saw it coming.
But given Doom and Iron Man’s comic history, we should have.
Doom is no mans second choice.
And thats why the MCU is going back to its first choice.

How can its greatest villain have the same face.

This suggests that theres some similarity between Tonys mission and Dooms goals.
Victor is a man defined by an extended hand that eventually turns into a fist.
From that perspective, the continuity between Iron Man and Doctor Doom makes quite a bit of sense.
