The last but one answer in this interview has a slight spoiler for Muppets Most Wanted.
If theres one thing I discovered from our chat with Danny Trejo, its that he laughs a lot.
and what followed was one of the most entertaining interviews Ive ever done.
Right, right, right you got it right!
Have you always been a fan of those man on a mission of justice movies?
But I mean we get about thirty scripts a week, so I cant read em!
So they go through them all and pick out what they think is best for me.
I thought up that line, honest to God!
[he chuckles]and the director loved it!
That was so funny!
But you know its like yeah okay, all of a sudden Danny Trejo accidentally kills actress!
[chuckles]Well I was pretty good at that stuff before, you know what I mean!
and started screaming, so that blew my cover!
[he laughs and repeats the guys scream!]
And hes such a great character…
I mean my Mom was calling me Machete!
You remind me of the bad guys in my high school.
And I said I am the bad guy in your high school!
We named him Machete inSpy Kidsand then we did theMachetetrailer.
I was just writing about Machete Kills the other day and Im really keen that Machete Kills Again…
In Space happens have you had any more news on that?
Oh thats gonna be fun!Machete In Spaceis gonna be so much fun.
Well, I think Robert doesnt do Latin heroes, he does good heroes with Latin stars.
Its funny because but inDesperadothat character never said a word and he was the strongest guy in that movie!
[laughs]
Shes incredible, it must have been fun to work with her on Machete Kills…
The best thing about the movie!
[laughs]I got to kiss Amber Heard!
You get all the best day jobs!
Yeah, she was awesome man.

I need this job, oh God, I need this…!
Weve got Tina Fey in it, weve got Ray Liotta in it and theyre funny as hell.
Lady Gagas in it thats my baby, shes awesome!
She was awesome in Machete Kills too!
[laughs] And I have a dont tell anybody but I did have an affair with Miss Piggy!
