In many games, youre never quite sure whats going to happen next.

Every level and point of plot progression introduces some new idea.

The same is true ofDragons Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2

Will that side path take you to a treasure or a trolls lair?

Will your companions ever actually do what you say?

Will the games performance remain steady enough for you to finish a battle?

In some ways, thats very much the case here.Dragons Dogma 2is noticeably more refined than its predecessor.

Worst of all are the technical issues.

Hopefully, those problems will be addressed soon.

So the verdict onDragons Dogma 2should be easy to give.

If you likedDragons Dogma, youll probably love its often objectively better sequel despite its problems.

Yet, thats not what Im here to tell you.

Functional and aesthetically pleasing are fine, but they dont always translate to fun.

Too many open-world titles take that idea for granted.

Well, addDragons Dogma 2to the list of such titles.

If you do not learn to adapt, you will not consistently overcome.

That unpredictability wonderfully extends to the rest ofDragons Dogma 2s world.

Simply wandering through that world will result in unforgettable occurrences.

InDragons Dogma 2, such experiences are more than mere moments.

Thats the contradiction at the heart ofDragons Dogma 2.

Dragons Dogma 2 is available on March 22 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC.
