How did you feel starting onThe Flashand becoming the centerpiece of this show?

Its good.

Its really nice being able to explore Jax and really bring him to life.

Have you ever had a mentor in your life like Stein is to Jax?

[Laughs] Not really.

Firestorm always has a partner.

Do you enjoy that or do you enjoy the individual scenes?

I love working with Victor.

We literally spend all day just taking the piss out of each other, insulting each other.

I make him take really weird pictures of me, weird selfies.

Hes like, Franz, I dont understand.

What am I doing?

Im like, Just do it.

Its going to be fun.

I use loads of London slang he doesnt understand.

Hes just like, Can you like speak English?

I dont know what you mean.

We get on like a house on fire.

As our characters, we start off really going at each other.

Were at loggerheads a lot and we kind of learn to work together.

We build this great relationship which we kind of have this father/son kind of bond towards the end.

Will there be an episode that focuses on Jax?

We definitely explore Jaxs family and his relationship with his parents.

That definitely gets explored.

I believe episode 12 is a good one for Jax.

Do you think Jax has given up on Kendra?

Yeah, I think hes feeling the burn, man.

Well have to see how that whole relationship pans out, but yeah.

Its fun to see Stein take a stab at help you, but terribly.

He tried to be a wingman but just ended up doing the wrong thing.

Yeah, we leave the three behind and theyre there for a while.

Theyre there for a good couple years and they come back, spoiler.

So yeah, theres definitely a different dynamic when they come back for sure.

Does Jax have a conflict with Rip over leaving them behind?

Yeah, that definitely gets addressed.

Im trying to word this so I dont give away too much.

If you had the Waverider for the day, would you go to the past or future?

Id go to the past.

Id really love to check out medieval times.

Im obsessed with that kind of stuff, like on a horseback with a sword.

That would be cool.

What did you think of the 50s episode and the way it addressed racial issues?

Yeah, that episode, I really liked getting to explore that.

How did you like wearing prosthetic makeup?

That was a lot of fun.

I really enjoyed that.

I think I came on set playing Thriller.

I felt like I was Michael Jackson in Thriller.

I was doing the whole routine.

It was a lot of fun but it took ages.

It turned out really well.

Whos the troublemaker on the set?

I think youre talking to him.

We have a blast.

Everyone kind of gets it a little bit.

I have this annoying thing of just tapping people on the shoulder and running away.

Theyre just like, Can you yo, yo stop.

We have a blast.

No one gets mad.

Thats the worst, when you dont like the people youre working with.

Its always better when you do.
