What are the chances we’ll see Hannibal season 4 after the NBC cancellation?
We take a look at possible avenues for a return…
So what does the future ofHanniballook like?
One large challenge the series has found itself facing is that it is rapidly running out of source material.
In fact, the only element Fullers version really lacks from the book is the presence of Clarice Starling.
The most obvious new home forHannibalwould be a streaming service of some kind.
Additionally is there any way of knowing if the viewership problems that plaguedHannibalon NBC would not be repeated elsewhere?
Streaming certainly would make the show more accessible.
Debuting on a streaming service would eliminate this problem and certainly add a large bump to the viewership.
After all, on cable the ratingsHannibalmanaged would actually be quite respectable.
The beauty ofHannibalis that the people who love itreallylove it, and those include many vocal television critics.
Put it this way: Netflix rescuedTheKilling, a critically reviled show that never had the same fan adorationHannibalenjoys.
Even if its return is limited to a miniseries or a movie,Hannibaldoes not seem dead yet.
