It must be difficult by the time you get to this point in the day?

Well I mean its important, because I am an actor who actually understands the importance of this stuff.

Now in retrospect its lovely to talk about it.

Fifteens a lot though, what else is there?

There must beAvatar…

AndTitanic…

Has Peter got any other ones?

And how was it finally seeing it on the big screen, after such an epic shoot?

I havent seen it!

[Laughs] No Im joking!

Its hard to be… its difficult if youre in it, I always find that.

Do you still have any filming left to do?

Is that the end of it then, or are you going to do more for part three?

From what I gather this is it!

[Grins] With Peter Jackson theres always brackets Watch.

At what point did you get involved withThe Hobbit?

Did you audition just for Bofur?

Do I want to put my family through it?

The career experience was wonderful, what will it do for my career?

Oh yeah, its a fucking sensational country.

And what was your relationship to the book ofThe Hobbit, previous to the filming?

So you were able to approach it quite fresh then?

I didnt realise they were like this!

So it removed those elements of preconception…

Absolutely, yes indeed it did.

Well I didnt really consider it, as I didnt really know about it Im aware of it now!

Its an interesting world.

Its an astonishing melting pot of…

I love it, I think its very endearing but its also fucking freakish as well!

I also wanted to ask how you found the challenge of the green screen work?

Well its interesting, because honestly we didnt do much green screen.

I was astonished, I thought we were going to do more.

I think it makes a difference.

Its astonishing, you walk onto the set and you think, Jesus!

Thats what really blew my mind, that attention to detail.

Its hard to follow, you know?

Would you prefer to work with theBraindeadhorror side of Peter Jackson, or the more dramaticHeavenly Creaturesstyle?

Well I think Peter should switch genre more, frankly I think he should do a love story.

Speaking of did you know there was going to be singing inThe Hobbit?

And last question have you seen the Lego figure of yourself?

Yeah I love it!

James Nesbitt, thank you very much!
