This is as it should be.
Its also remarkable for a movie which critics,including our own, have mostly torn to shreds.
Yet the actual quality of the movie appears mooted at this point.
And absolutely no chicken jockeys!

This is a good thing.
And they were not considered one and the same.
In other words: they didnt take it that seriously.
But then each generation has had its own stories that leave their parents confused.

None of which is to say those critics are wrong.Pokemon: The First Movieis relentlessly mediocre.
This is not to say kids movies are above criticism or reproach.
And its a relief that they have something their parents do not understand.
Hell, even Ninja Turtles and Pokemon.
It should be noted this play is now leading to diminishing returns.
This stuff is just getting long in the tooth.
