Its a very human movie this one, as a family slowly struggles against the backdrop of political change. And theres a sense that Grant very much put everything into it. A very, very hard movie to actually like this one, but its not without real impact. Its 104 minutes of cold movie theater with quite a punch to it. Its merely a shame that more of the authors books werent also given the same treatment....
