Piranha (1978): Lookback/Review

Yes, nothing quite says summertime like a horde of flesh-eating fish devouring a day camp full of eight-year-olds. ), the Roger Corman-producedPiranhawas, well, definitely one of them. That it came out of Cormans New World Pictures; 3. That it was made by a virtually unknown director and an untested screenwriter; And 4. That it starred Bradford Dillman. And as for screenwriter John Sayles, well, this was his first picture so who the hell knew?...

Arrested Development: Season 4, Episode 2, Borderline Personalities, Review

With the second episode of Netflix’s Arrested Development we can see where this reboot is going. And it’s all good. Well,Arrested Developmentis officially back and we here at Den of Geek couldnt be more excited about it. If anything, George Sr.s scheme is at best high concept and at worst convoluted. Its hard to understand just everything that hes doing and at times the episode can be a tad overwhelming....

Looking back at RoboCop 2

Widely regarded as an inferior sequel, RoboCop 2 has flashes of brilliance and lapses of logic. RoboCop 2appeared in 1990, three years after its genre-defining predecessor, and was directed by Irwin Kershner. Take his first appearance. InRoboCop 2however, the opposite is true. Detroit really is Cains town. Lets go go back to crime for a moment. Only there doesnt seem to be that much crime. Here, it doesnt seem to matter that RoboCop is the only working cop in a crime-filled city....

Resident Evil: Revelations (HD), Review

Resident Evil: Revelationsis generally a great port in just about every aspect. The graphics are a welcomed upgrade from the 3DS, and the high definition character models look fantastic. The CGI sequences are well done, albeit with cheesy dialogue. The setting forRevelationsis one of the franchises most enjoyable. There were a couple sea-themed enemies, but there should have been more. Unfortunately,Resident Evil: Revelationsdoes not deliver the variation in enemies I was looking for....

Looking back at Grange Hill

The only school kids ever seemed to be interested in. Us included… At your school, did anyone die in the swimming pool? Did you have to contend with vicious bullies (and were talking about the teachers!)? Did everyone have London accents coarse enough to strip the paint off the classroom doors? Flippin eck, you must have gone to Grange Hill! Back then,Grange Hillwas a phenomenon. Who could forget that montage of comic strips?...
