Nathan Fillion: the new Bruce Campbell?

Yet for me, his career choices and his dedication to his fan mirror that of Bruce. Both Campbell and Fillion have featured in sitcoms with appearances that may have passed you by. Maybe not until the credits roll do you think, Oh, wait. Nathan Fillion Nathan played Dr Adam Mayfair in the fourth Series ofDesperateHousewives. And just look at that smile on his face, too. Why the Harry Potter franchise deserves more respect

Every movie series has its weak link. Indiana Jones has his Crystal Skull, and Star Wars has its Phantom Menace. The Harry Potter franchise, meanwhile, has been of consistently high quality, Luke argues… So, in most peoples eyes, these films were abject and abominable failures. ThePotterfilms already have the money angle covered, but what can be said of their quality? Comparing anything to theStar Warsprequels is unfair, granted, so lets look elsewhere....

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions PlayStation 3 review

How many Spider-Men does it take to save the world? Well, four dimensions, which each just so happen to have a variation of Spider-Man. Web-swinging, zipping and shooting are almost identical, but other general features, although familiar, are tweaked. Theyre also far more integrated into the core game. Perhaps most notable is Spider-Man Noir. Trying to crawl around walls and ceiling is a total nightmare. Camera issues are also present throughout the other worlds too....

Looking back at Event Horizon

Even the biggest fans of UK director Paul W.S. Upon arriving, they find the vessel, once used to test an experimental gravity drive, apparently empty. Gradually, however, weird things begin to happen among the shadowy corridors of the ship. Doctor Weir (Sam Neill), the scientist who designed the ship, is the worst afflicted. The fifth series of Doctor Who ends with a bang in this fourth and final volume. First up is Richard CurtisVincent And The Doctor. However, the real success of the episode lies in the casting of James Corden as Craig. As a short puff piece aimed at casual viewers, the documentary is perfectly entertaining. John Romita Jr interview: Kick-Ass, Marvel, Avengers and more

I think it ended up as a nice combination. Ad content continues below Was there any particular aspect that you were happiest with? I think the subtlety it wasnt over the top, visually. The costumes werent ridiculous, there wasnt one point where I felt any of the visuals were unnecessary. But I think Matthew pulled back just a touch, and thats what I was very happy with. He didnt go beyond us, he stayed within us!...

Mafia II Xbox 360 review

Aiming to take a piece of the action from rivalGTA. Still, weapons feel meaty enough, and fire fights are enjoyable. WhereMafia IIsets itself apart a little is with melee combat. Controls switch to allow easy close combat. This system is, admittedly, very basic, but it works. Theres also a series of stylish finishing moves to execute once you wear down your foes enough. That is, aside from the truly awful Chinese stereotypes, which some may even find border on offensive....

Celebrating the music of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

The wait for the UK release of the soundtrack was rather excruciating, but it was worth it. The soundtrack plays out like a very strong, near perfect mix tape. Equally as impressive is Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scenescontributions for Crash and the Boys. Its a shame that Larsons version isnt on the soundtrack. A beautiful song to accompany an equally beautiful moment in the film. One of my favourite songs in the film, sadly, doesnt appear on the soundtrack....
