Battlestar Galactica season 2 episode 13 review: Epiphanies

She might have a point there, but for some reason, this child continues to live on. Theres bound to be a Cylon behind them somewhere, but dont ask me right now who it is. Again, theres no doubt plenty of egg being lined up to pelt my face with. And then its back to Dr Baltar. As such, Adama agrees to stop the planned abortion, and Baltar gets to work....

Secrets Of The Clown DVD review

A moment of tension, and then he is killed by a giant demonic clown! Indeed, it takes over an hour for people to figure out shock, horror! Val is a witch. Secondly, the film lacks any real originality or creativity whatsoever. In fact, several scenes have simply been ripped off from other films in the genre. Film: Secrets Of The Clownisout now. Anaconda Blu-ray review

That Jon Voight sneer. And a high definition upgrade that really shouldnt have happened. We check out Anaconda on Blu-ray… I have a distinct and not very favourable memory of seeingAnacondafor the first time. That, in this case, didnt even begin to cover it. It was not a satisfactory night out. In fact, for good stretches, its terrible, and struggles to even entertain. For when the slithering sucker turns up, it looks even more fake than ever before....

Battlestar Galactica season 2 episode 10 review: Pegasus

Its straight to action stations, until its revealed that its a colonial ship. In fact, more than that, its another, more advanced Battlestar, Pegasus. Only thats not how this show works. The same fleet that Adama has been steering pretty much since episode one. And Cain isnt on a mission to make herself popular. And Fisk soon starts spilling the beans about the new boss. Then theres the small matter of the Cylon that the Pegasus is holding in its brig....

Roxanne Blu-ray review

And thats really quite unfair. Bales, a generally well liked man who just happens to have an enormous nose. Said nose, which cant be operated on, is the reason why C.D. So begins a story that sees C.D. write love notes on behalf of Chris, a man whom Roxanne confides shes attracted to. Yet it doesnt give too much away to say that all this eventually comes to a head....

Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel DVD review

Can the TV stalwarts assembled here pull off a sci-fi comedy to rival Shaun Of The Dead…? Ray, unconvinced, returns to Pete and Toby and congratulates them on their wind up. FrequentlyAsked Questions About Time Travelnever quite escapes from feeling as though made for TV. The combination of the budget and the performances from those involved contribute towards this. A look back at Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice

Im the ghost with the most, babe. Although there is a ghostly haunted house element to this movie, it is slightly twisted on its head. The effects in the movie itself are fantastic and hold up well as the years pass. Of course, it is the title character of the piece that really steals the show. Each time he is on screen its like a slap in the face. Burtons style seeps though this movie making it candy for the eyes....

Battlestar Galactica season 2 episode 5 review: The Farm

The most haunting episode of Battlestar Galactica to date, Simon takes a look at The Farm… 2. Its also the most haunting piece of scripted drama Ive seen all year. Again, do you think theres a writer somewhere making a point? But how may will jump and follow her? Not that theres much in the way of Cylons at the moment in space. Its down on the surface of Caprica where the episode really hits home, though....

Battlestar Galactica season 2 episodes 6 & 7 review: Home

Before they get there, Starbuck and Helo meet up with them, as they flee Caprica. Then, Helo points a gun at Apollo, and we have a good old fashioned Mexican stand-off. Weve learnt it right there, folks: never trust a politician. Thats the magic words that tick the box in Roslins mind, and her execution is quickly halted. As is Tom Zarek. ), although its clear he operates towards the darker side of the force....

Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series Blu-ray review

Dont get me wrong. They move painfully slowly and theyre easy to destroy for a quick witted human. Anyway, enough about this seminal show; what about the collection? Even the silence of space is perforated by the hiss of manoeuvring thrusters and chatter of viper cannons. There are also five hours of behind-the-scenes documentary footage and two hours of video blogs. Overall, there is some highly enjoyable material included. I especially enjoyed the documentary about the use of musical cues and another on the forthcoming direct-to-videoGalacticamini-movieThe Plan....
