Yet again, Ive let my Pikmin down.
In most strategy games, the loss of a few units seldom makes much of an emotional impact.
Theyre mere cannon fodder collateral damage in a greater war effort.
Red Pikmin are handy in a fight.
Yellow Pikmin can be thrown further and conduct electricity.
Blue Pikmin can swim.
Its a simple yet surprisingly deep system, established in the firstPikminway back in 2001.
Whats immediately notable aboutPikmin 3is just how beautiful it looks.
Through this detailed environment, the Pikmin toddle, collect and fight as your commands dictate.
Really, though, these problems fade into the background when compared to how carefully put togetherPikmin 3is elsewhere.
Each subsequent day gradually introduces new puzzles and challenges, and new areas to explore.
Pikmin 3is out on the 26th July for the Wii U.
