Resident Evil goes episodic with Revelations 2.
But is the format right for the franchise?
Its not survival horror, Its not scary; Ive accepted these facts and Im moving on.
Crucially, the gameplay is spiced up by giving you sidekicks to control.
Both sidekicks Moira and Natalia have distinct and crucial roles to play.
Natalias nightmarish pink-hued dreamworld is particularly intriguing.
ButResident Evils strength never lay in its storytelling.
But then again, Im curious whether Capcom can prove me wrong.
The rigid gameplay ofRev 2has its appeal, and is bolstered by its unique co-op focus.
Theres a lot to clean up, but theres plenty of time for the game to do it.
