Weve taken a good look at next years releases, and weve picked out the best.
The sequel was a bit of a flop, sadly.
The gun-toting, crime-stopping magic just wasnt there.
That came to an end with the reveal ofCrackdown 3.
Weve seen massive skyscrapers being toppled, and a level of demolition weve not seen before.
Were ready to obsessively hunt for orbs again.
It really could make or break the series.
Weve got high hopes for this.
2017 should see the arrival ofHalo Wars 2, which will continue where the first game left off.
Microsoft has also confirmed that the game will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
Weve had some great superhero games over the last few years.
One of the surprise hits was NetherRealm StudiosInjustice.
Pinches of salt at the ready, though.
Wed say theres no more important release for Nintendos software teams in 2017.
Itll introduce a new protagonist and a new galaxy, as human civilization moves out of the Milky Way.
Despite this, BioWare has said the game is not considered to be the start of a new trilogy.
Its also been confirmed that no original crew members will appear, nor will the Reapers.
Hopefully itll mix game styles as well as the first game, and deliver a story as absorbing.
For some, this release is even bigger than the recentFinal Fantasy XV.
UnlikeShenmue, however, theres a very good chance youve never heard of it.
This was managed without the need for hardware acceleration, a big factor at the time.
The games story saw protagonist Cutter Slade journey to the alien world of Adelpha.
It had an open world and was a technical triumph for the time.
If youve missed the first release, you could find it on GOG.com.
Not much is known about the game at the moment.
Keep a close eye on this one.
If its on par withDoom, it could be brilliant.
Rockstar hasnt exactly been generous with details, beyond a simple logo and short teaser trailer.
TheShenmueseries is a very unique RPG adventure with martial arts and QTE elements.
The original games were technical masterpieces for the time, even holding up by todays standards.
Players will play as the new kid who wants to become a part of the series infamous gang.
This should open up the game for more fluid and fast-paced battles.
TheAdvanced Warfighterseries on the Xbox and Xbox 360 was the last major hurrah for the licence.
However, Ubisoft is set to bring the name back with a bang next year.
It promises to deliver a strong single-player campaign, as well as online multiplayer.
The multiplayer element will apparently support both online and offline features.
