Unfortunately, it looks like he might just be forced to step down instead.
(Or at least, so everyone is telling him.)

I dont know, David Gyasi, who plays Foreign Secretary Dennison tellsDen of Geek.
Hes in a state where hes just questioning what things mean.
He was ready to burn it all down.
(Plus, its obvious Kinnear is having a ball chewing the scenery!)
But anythings possible on this show.
Hal and Kate Wyler have beenthrough a lot over the course of both the series and their marriage.
Is this growth for them?
The pair certainly seem stronger than weve ever seen them by the time the final credits roll.
What About Kate and Dennison?
(She even tells Hal as much when he asks.)
In fact, Dennison even says that everything that has happened between themboth personally and professionallywas a mistake.
But are things really over between the two?
Look, I think it feels like theyre saying Its over.
Its over, Gyasi says.
But I think their eyes are saying something else.
Whats underneath is saying something else.
Is There Any Hope for Stuart and Eidras Relationship?
(Theres no doubt that she stillcaresis what Im saying.)
I think Eidras used to keeping her professional life and her personal life very separate.
She puts a boundary down and he keeps insisting.
So thats not making him look too good, I dont think.
I dont know that it would be received very well.
(And possibly respect the very clear lines shes drawn around their relationship for the moment.)
But does that mean theyre over forever?
I think thats a good question.
And I dont know, Ahn says.
And Ato [Essandoh, who plays Stuart] is a wonderful scene partner.
