Eli Roth gets behind the camera again for a stew of cannibalism, xenophobia…and ethics?

In Roths universe, staying home is still your best option.

Once the group is captured, ideals are quickly thrown out the window.

So, any attempt at making some sort of point is lost in nihilism.

Thats also where Roth deploys his xenophobic tendencies: the tribespeople are simply terrifying.

ButThe Green Infernoturns out to be less than the sum of its parts in many ways.

What he serves up is not quite inedible, but its hardly the meal it could have been.
