Its more of a Metroidvania-style game whereas the originalPrince of Persiatitles were closer to dungeon-crawler action-adventure titles.
In some instances, perhaps it is.
If youre familiar with thebest Metroidvania games, youll likely be familiar with 90% ofThe Lost Crownexperience.
Mind you,The Lost Crownis certainly not devoid of new ideas.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality ofThe Lost Crowns combat.
Crucially, that rhythmic combat system works in harmony with the games wonderfully smooth platforming and navigation elements.
That may sound like a backhanded compliment, but its not.
From the moment thatThe Lost Crownwas revealed, ashocking amountof gamers reacted negatively to its very existence.
Its honestly kind of shocking that they didnt given the companys recent history.
Thats what makesThe Lost Crowna truePrince of Persiagame.
No game could or should ever be quite that good.
