However, after watchingepisode 3, wed like to put forward a different theory.
Although he could yet turn out to be Sauron, thats looking a bit less likely.
The Numenoreans become corrupted by their own greed and selfishness, thats their tragedy.
So the chances are pretty high that were looking at a Bad Guy here.
They will become entirely corrupted and end up as formless shadows, the Nazgul, or Ringwraiths.
We only know the human name of one of the Ringwraiths, an Easterling king called Khamul.
Its possible that we will meet him in human form at some point during the series.
Of the other nine, all we know is that three of them were Numenoreans.
