The Walking Dead Season 6 Trailer

A newWalking Deadseason 6 teaser has arrived.

It does look like things arent going to go very smoothly during Ricks camouflaged escape from Alexandria.

Will all of the survivors make it out alive?

The mysterious Negan is also mentioned in the teaser, although there isnt new footage surrounding the character.

Surely, he will be another obstacle in the characters ways when the show returns in February.

Well meet at least two other new characters in the second half of season 6.

THRis reportingthat Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast as Negan, the iconic villain fromThe Walking Deadcomics.

Scroll down to the The Walking Dead Season 6 Predictions section for more info on the character.

So buckle up, I guess?

Its really the best encountering the best.

Deadlinereports that Tom Payne (Luck) has been cast as Paul Jesus Monroe forThe Walking Deadseason 6.

Paul is straight out of the comics, but we wont spoil his character here.

Robert Kirkman,Walking Deadcreator, had a few things to say about Paul Jesus Monroe.

Kirkman toldEW:

Jesus is just such a fun character to write in the comics.

Hes smart, quick, very athletic.

Hes kinda been surviving on his feet.

Hes going to be bringing a lot to the show.

Theres some cool stuff coming with him.

EWhas some new detailson some of the characters being introduced inThe Walking Deadseason 6.

He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy.

Not much else is known about the character.

Shes playing Dr. Denise Cloyd, who plays a major role in the books as a medic and surgeon.

Its been fun and he dove in with both feet.

Hes really, really excited to be there.

Rick has decided to take the mysterious villain out before he can do Alexandria any harm.

After all, remember when the season 6 trailer teased a confrontation between Morgan and Rick last summer?

Speaking of which, Morgan dies in issue #83 after being bit during the walker attack in Alexandria.

The midseason premiere would probably be too soon to kill off the character.

This did not happen.

Deanna got a different, more merciful kind of death…which is fine.

But whos going to shoot the dude?

With Deanna gone, Gimple has to get a bit creative with this, doesnt he?

When Rick refuses…things get ugly.

He is SO wrong.

Expect Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham to pull the upset, even if they are grossly outnumbered.

Besides, AMC will never kill off the man with the golden crossbow.

We Find Ourselves

I left Carl in the lurch, didnt I?

I dont think AMC is ready to kill off Carl yet.

(For real, the Alexandrians show what theyre made of at the end of No Way Out.)

Basically, Rick decides to finally be a leader.

The Alexandrians will also warm to Ricks leadership.

Carters too dead to spark a coup at this point.

(It was Nicholas in the comics, who is also quite dead.)

As the title suggests, the Alexandrians discover theyre not the only survivor settlement in the Washington area.

Paul will be played by Tom Payne (Luck) on the show.

The character is first introduced to readers as a mysterious dude watching the Safe-Zone from afar with binoculars.

Paul takes Abraham hostage and tells Michonne to set up a meeting with Rick.

A lot of this plays out like Aarons introduction in season 5.

Rick doesnt trust this new stranger, knocks him out, and ties him up.

Rick fears that this could just be another Woodbury/Terminus situation in the making.

Rick and the group arrive at the Hilltop in issue #94, and its a seemingly peaceful place.

There arent even any weapons.

Which is why Negan and the Saviors are able to harass them whenever they want.

So we wont get into him too heavily here.

Hell be a regular next season, plenty of time to spill the beans on Gregory then.

For better or worse, (it gets a lot worse) Gregory survives, though.

The stuff at the Hilltop will probably run parallel to Negans debut on the show.

Were looking specifically at issues #98-100.

This confirms well get at least ONE big death by the end of the season.

There are two major deaths in Something to Fear.

Oh, and by the way, this is Negans introduction in the comics.

Glenn pays the ultimate price.

The way I see it, the show will condense this stuff a bit.

For one thing, well probably only see one trip to the Hilltop.

The question is whether Gimple will effectively kill off two main characters in the season finale.

That actually brings me to another point:

These guys cant POSSIBLY kill off Glenn this season.

Because that would be too much bullshit to handle from one character arc.

Skip the arrow to the head and go straight for the bat.

That said, someone else could take Glenns place in the finale…

But you know better than that.

Either way, well get one big death by seasons end if Gimple sticks to the comics.

And he totally will.

It teases Norman Reedus Daryl Dixon, who is busy wiping blood off his hands.

What kind of trouble is everyones favorite zombie apocalypse survivor going to get into this season?

And take our word for it, the zombies this season are just plain gross.

But more importantly, super creative.

The promos are slowly trickling in forThe Walking Deadseason 6.

He seems deep in thought.

Maybe considering where to go next?
