This wont necessarily be a chronological unpacking of the goings on in the trailer.
I will group various shots together in what I think is a logical progression.
I mean, thats up to you to decide, but there we are.
But if you want to read those, you might find the first onehereand the second onehere.
Alright, on with the show… Well, thats not true.
We do see Alfred later on.
They dont even like each others secret identities.
Man, thats gonna be awkward when they form the Justice League in future movies!
Waitasec, uh-oh…
Bruce Wayne doesnt appear to think too kindly about the press.
Here we see a typical liberal media rag, harshing on Batmans tough on crime approach.
Theres also a few ways they can go with Batmans past in the context of this movie.
Ive always considered Eisenbergs casting to be a quietly brilliant move.
Making Lex Luthor a young tech billionaire who hides some sinister secrets is a terrific spin on the character.
Instead, he comes off as channeling Jim Carreys Edward Nygma inBatman Forever.
But why are they fighting, anyway?
But an apparent suicide mission against Superman seems extreme, even for him.
If you havent seen that yet, here it is:
Something about that scene isnt right.
Maybe its Bruces weird desert gear.
Maybe its scowling Superman.
But mostly its those bizarre soldiers.
This has to be a dream sequence.
Yeah, definitely a nightmare of some kind.
But theres two little things I want to point out before we move on.
But what if someone is mentally manipulating these two to fight each other?
This could be the kind of thing that someone plants in Bruces brain.
Regardless of that speculation, one thing is certain…Lex Luthor isnt the only villain in the movie.
Im not sure why Superman is in Lexs lab here.
Again, it seems clear that Batman and Superman are being manipulated into fighting each other.
Im only including this because its another neat regular persons view of the fight from the first movie.
We saw this with the heat vision/building destruction in the previous trailer, as well.
There is something kind of disconcerting about watching a superpowered slugfest from this angle, isnt there?
Remember that shot of General Zods corpse, and Michael Shannons loose talk about having flippers on his hands?
Well…
Heres Doomsday.
If he doesnt look bony and spiky enough for you comic book fans, look closely.
you could see those bone spike things are there.
More importantly, it seems to be what brings Wonder Woman into the picture.
Batman brandishing a gun is kind of an annoying image.
I really hope they dont screw this up.
Well find out more whenBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justiceopens on March 25th, 2016.
