The first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse drops lots of clues for the movie.
Does this new glimpse of the movie put you at ease?
And what can we learn from it?
I think we can safely say this movie will be operating along similar lines.
It seems like theyll have a similar relationship here too.
Remember how at the end ofDays Of Future Pastwe saw a pale, thin guy telekinetically building a pyramid?
This might be that pyramid, now surrounded by a cult of his worshippers.
Theyve adapted the spirit, if not the letter of the franchise.
And lets face it, shes awesome.
Jubilee previously had the occasional cameo in the movies, but shes been upgraded to a major player.
Death, War, Famine and Pestilence.
And this time, shes playing the hero.
Which is fair enough, because why wouldnt you use Jennifer Lawrence if you could?
Captain Cardboard is back!
Lets hope some of that magic gets translated to the screen with this new incarnation.
And lets be fair.
Now that theyve applied some digital manipulation and de-purpled him, this is recognisably Apocalypse.
Hes got the blue lips, hes got the tubes, hes got the neck collar thing.
Its not as horrible as we feared.
But I can sort of see this working.
If nothing else (and theres plenty to chew on!)
we can be excited for that.
X-Men Apocalypse is due for release in May 2016.
